Showplace Antique + Design Center

Set throughout four expansive floors, this indoor market houses more than 200 high-quality dealers selling everything from vintage designer wear to Greek and Roman antiquities. Among the highlights are Joe Sundlie Vintedge’s colorful, on-trend vintage pieces from Lanvin and Alaïa on the ground floor, and Waves LLC (on the ground and second levels) for early radios and phonographs. But our favorite is Mood Indigo—arguably the city's best source for collectible bar accessories and dinnerware. The array of Bakelite jewelry and table accessories, Fiestaware, and novelty cocktail glasses and shakers is dazzling, and it’s a wonderful repository of Art Deco cigarette cases, lighters in the shape of ships, cameras and rocket cars, as well as vintage New York memorabilia, including souvenirs (glasses, pillboxes, even a charm bracelet) from the 1939 World’s Fair.
