After fanatically purchasing entire collections of designer Pierre Emile Lafaurie’s minimalist men’s sportswear during trips to France more than 20 years ago, marketing exec Sean Cassidy befriended the Parisian and the two set out to sell Lafaurie’s creations stateside. This shop marks the brand’s fourth NYC location (the others are in Soho and on the Upper East and West Sides), exclusively selling Pierre Emile Lafaurie goods. The 500-square-foot space uses vintage furnishings and chocolate-hued accents to create an air of understated elegance, echoing the sophistication of European-manufactured shirts ($98–$148), pants ($110), suits ($395–$620) and outerwear ($175–$425). More casual offerings include poplin button-down shirts ($128), slim-fit pants ($138) and merino-wool pullovers ($128). Round out your look with polka-dot scarves ($68) and wide silk ties ($195).
