Jim Buckley and Erin Faulman, the power duo behind Nolita vintage store the Clothing Warehouse, continue to woo our hearts with their second NYC store, Scout Vintage. The brightly lit, spacious interior boasts more than 5,000 authentic vintage T-shirts, meticulously arranged by color and theme. New stock arrives daily, and though the task of sifting through it all can seem daunting, the super-friendly staff is more than happy to help you dig. “We don’t want your arms to get tired,” says manager Sara Bess-Norton. Top finds include glow-in-the-dark Batman tees, retro TV and movie styles (including Jaws and Sesame Street), and bragworthy band shirts featuring Genesis and David Bowie, all of which range from $18 to $188 for hard-to-find varieties. Make it a full ensemble with preloved cowboy boots ($78–$178), Levi’s 501 cutoff shorts ($48), Viva Zapata bags from Buenos Aires made out of vinyl seats ($108), and Locket 2 You vintage brass necklaces emblazoned with images of woodland creatures and anatomically correct hearts ($58).
