For the fourth year, 11 of Manhattan’s and Brooklyn’s most popular knitting stores are offering discounts and free raffles (such as a basket filled with knitting goods, worth $300) during a three-day scavenger hunt. Deals include gratis wine and mimosas at La Casita, up to 40 percent off the whole store at Knitty City, and 40 percent off yarn and up to 15 percent off supplies at the Yarn Company. Each shop will also be hiding hand-knit monster stuffed animals by Brooklyn artist Anna Hrachovec.
