Vintage enthusiasts don't have to hop on the L train to get their mitts on Vania Scharbach’s collection of recycled duds. The designer, who also has a store in Williamsburg, has opened a second shop on the Lower East Side, where previously owned handbags ($45–$89), jewelry ($24–$70) and women’s frocks ($25–$100) hang alongside the store’s eponymous line of pieces Scharbach makes in her Brooklyn studio. A play kitchen used for displaying accessories and Ellen Robin Rosenberg barrettes adorned with toy cars ($24) add to the small space’s whimsical feel, but the selection of edgy sunglasses ($24–$65) is far from kiddie. Standouts include airy Lavai Maria tanks hand-printed with sailboats ($48) and a bright sequined party dress ($74).
