We’re the first to admit that the prices at Dover Street Market aren’t exactly wallet-friendly, but since the high-end fashion mecca recently obtained an Idea Books section, we think these unique volumes (sourced from around the world) are a worthier splurge. This is the company’s first permanent store in the U.S., including a thoughtful selection of 100 rare titles (only available in single copies). Collectors can snatch up coffee-table books like You Can Take the Boy Out of Vietnam but You Can’t Take Vietnam Out of the Boy by Bruce Weber ($175), River Phoenix Roadshow Special Issue from Japanese publisher Shueisha ($95) and Tracht by Juergen Teller featuring photographs by Lehmann Maupin ($750).
