The name of this store may have started out as an inside joke, but owners Zak and Gillette Wing are serious about their wares and their mutual appreciation for “handmade items that have stood the test of time,” says Zak, and for “things that have been well loved,” continues Gillette. To that end, you’ll find curiosities and collectibles including linens, dining chairs, and the couple’s own designs: carpenter Zak’s commissioned handiwork shelving, coat racks and lamps, all crafted from reclaimed wood and hardware, and Gillette’s reworked charm necklaces. Artful arrangements of preloved items hearken back to a time when people chose to surround themselves with property of value and service—while simultaneously capturing the current Brooklyn style.
