Italy

Bustling and full of industrial charm, Milan is a great place to start your trip. After a couple days of eating your weight in risotto and ossobucco at Osteria Conchetta and Al Cantinone while absorbing style inspo from the seemingly endless parade of fashion models strutting through the streets, take a day trip south toward the Ligurian seaside to the Designer Outlet Serravalle, which is, with over 230 stores, the largest luxury designer outlet in all of Europe. It’s also located in the UNESCO recognized Monferrato region, which is beloved for truffle hunting and wine tasting, making for a perfect pit stop for a couple of days if you’re up for it.
If you’re flying into or out of Rome, you can easily shop at Designer Outlet Castel Romano, which is located just 30 minutes outside the Italian capital. The outlet is home to over 150 stores, including Armani, Versace, Zegna, Missoni, Roberto Cavalli and many more. In between your shopping escapades, you can indulge in a number of the city’s historic walking tours, which are perfect for burning off the feasts you’ll be eating at some of Rome’s best restaurants, like Coromandel, Mulino Ai Quattro Venti, Da Enzo al 29, Trapizzino and Va.Do.
The landscape of Venice is simply stunning: between the canals and the historic architecture, it feels like you’re walking into a painting at every turn. The city is also prime for people watching as you stroll the narrow streets and ports full of gems like the famous bookstore Acqua Alta and the must-try coffee shop Caffè del Doge, which is why it’s imperative that you take fashion seriously here (people will be watching you, too!). Taking inspiration from the historic city’s palatial architecture, Designer Outlet Noventa di Piave—where you’ll find brands like Gucci, Fendi, Bottega Veneta, Valentino and more—is surrounded by gorgeous mosaics and breathtaking frescoes. Located just 40 minutes outside of Venice, this outlet makes for another great day trip.
