Brooklyn jeweler Freida Rothman opened her first flagship boutique in September 2014 in Nolita. Historical and medieval influences—and a little help from her son—inspired Rothman’s current collection as well as her favorite piece, the Metropolitan Shield necklace ($595), which resembles a knight’s shield but was made for a queen. Standouts from her recent collection include the Mercer cross necklace ($650), Paisley stud earrings ($70) and the Slice pavé open cuff ($140).
