East Side staple since 2004, FSC has opened a second location in a former West Village bodega. The rustic-chic men’s shop is decorated with handsome Southwestern rugs, antique furniture, and wooden shelves built by owner Taavo Somer. Expect steeply priced slim-fitting wool suits ($2,000 and up), casual button-down shirts ($148–$198), Winchester trousers ($268), Quoddy boat shoes ($286) and leather belts ($120). In addition to an in-house tailor, there’s a collection of outdoorsy lifestyle books and survival gear, including canteens, portable grills and compasses (you know, in case you can’t navigate your apartment building after too many PBRs). And coming soon: An in-store coffee bar.
