For more than 20 years, Japanese-born Yoshi Nishiyama brought popular U.S. brands back to his home country as a wholesale retailer. He’s switched sides with this venture, stocking hip Japanese labels in his first U.S. store. Oversize crates display apparel next to a kitschy wood swing. While the vast majority of merchandise is for guys, ladies will find a small selection including V::Room cotton pullovers ($150), Miusigny asymmetrical shirts ($187) and Arco Nanan handmade colorful barrettes ($25–$50). InCase metallic iPhone covers ($28) and Leather Island card holders ($35–$45) are unisex standouts. Guys can scoop up Kobu hand-stitched T-shirts ($38), Marshall Artist coated rain jackets ($189) and Graph Zero print cotton shorts ($182).
