Aside from the views, Staten Island is giving you yet another reason to take a ferry to the underrated borough: Empire Outlets. Pace yourselves, shoppers: This isn't your average mall! The 340,000 square feet space is home to a number of stellar brands and designer stores like Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Gap and H&M. Plus, other retail standouts like Nordstrom Rack (hell to the yes) and Levi's join the fray during spring and summer 2019. But it's the interesting art installations, open-air public spaces and the soon-to-debut MRKTPL—Staten Island's first-ever food hall—that really make this outlet worth a stop.
