Founded by Josh Egnew and Jeremy Sutton (with 12 and 20 years of tattooing under their belts, respectfully), this Crown Heights shop draws inspiration from years the pair spent collecting books of illustrations and art—many of which are on display in the shop. And even if your appointment isn’t with one of them, don’t sweat it: The other artists in residence all have at least 10 years experience each, and walk-ins are accepted. The crew has seen its share of weird requests--they blacked out the top of someone’s head recently--but never judge customers on requests. “It’s tattooing and sometimes it gets weird, but it’s always interesting!” Josh says. Tattoos start at $100. Important note: While they do sell nice body jewelry, they don’t offer piercing services.
