This optical store owned by eyewear brand Modo proves that style and eco-friendly materials do go hand in hand. Modo is no stranger to haute goods, having collaborated with designers like Jason Wu and Phillip Lim. The boutique offers posh sunglasses and frames created from at least 95 percent recycled materials. Plus, one tree is planted in Africa for every pair sold, and the small, simple store is decorated with pale reclaimed woods. The array of men’s and women’s glasses ($132) and shades ($129) are all from the Modo brand and include an array of looks like retro wayfarers, semirimmed frames and cutout styles. Choose a pair of Top Gun–inspired burnished-metal aviators ($129) or Jackie O–worthy ruby oversize rectangular sunnies ($129). The cool moss-hued tinge on Eco’s classic wayfarer frames ($132) serves as a reminder of just how green those frames really are.
