Guys and gals looking for shoes that can stand up to both a city pavement and a rocky hike should visit the fourth NYC location of this functional footwear brand (the others are in Soho, Midtown East and on the Upper East Side). While the shop’s decor isn’t finished, the company has enlisted Japanese design firm Nendo (nendo.jp/en)—which worked with Camper on its Barcelona and Osaka stores—to transform the space by spring 2013. In the meantime, men should check out leather sneakers ($180) and suede lace-ups ($200) featuring rubber soles for inclement weather. Ladies weary of high heels will love leather wedge booties ($230) and leather oxfords ($170) that are comfortable enough to wear both in the office and on your commute home.
