Though owner An Vu once worked in the pharmaceutical industry, you won’t find a single white lab coat at this chic Nolita boutique. Bio, short for Bio Emerging Designers, instead offers a crash course on 25 up-and-coming lines from around the world including 12th Street by Cynthia Vincent, Twinkle by Wenlan and Christopher Deane via clothing tags, which bear each designer's backstory. Catering to working ladies, Vu meticulously edits the industrial-looking joint's clothing and accessories, which includes footwear by her sister, shoe designer Taryn Rose.—Abigail Green-Dove
