What started in 1984 as a freestanding store inside a Vancouver mall has blown up to become a women’s retail mecca—there are currently 50 international locations—hawking exclusive in-house brands like Talula, TNA and Wilfred, alongside fashion favorites such as Acne and 7 for All Mankind. The NYC flagship is furnished with local lighting designer Lindsey Adelman’s bubble chandeliers and Vancouver sculptor Mark Turner’s nine-foot-tall cherrywood sculpture of a hand rising out of a base of crystals. Shopping standouts include voguish 100 percent silk Le Fou by Wilfred maxidresses ($245), T. Babaton crepe de chine sleeveless blouses ($98) and A Moveable Feast asymmetrical belted frocks ($165). Hit up the small but well-edited accessories collection for TNA gym bags ($48) and Wilfred leopard-print summer scarves ($68).
