THE DATE
First impression
Miri: “The restaurant was packed when I walked in, but there was a girl sitting by herself. She seemed nice, easygoing and cute, so I was glad when it ended up being her.”
Margo: “She came over and sat down, and I was immediately really excited and pleased. She was really cute. Once we started talking, I could tell it was going to be fun.”
Chemistry
Miri: “I think there’s potential. The date lasted twice as long as I was expecting, so that’s a good sign. We covered a lot of first-date topics. She was really easy to talk to.”
Margo: “At first I felt like I was just shouting facts about myself, but once we covered the basics, we kind of talked about everything. I think there was romantic chemistry.”
Awkward Moment
Miri: “The table next to us was pretty loud—we were making faces to each other about it. It was a large group, and they were definitely just there for the margaritas.”
Margo: “When we were leaving, I walked her to the subway. I’m horrible with directions, so I kind of made a fool of myself asking her for directions to get home to my apartment.”
Afterward
Miri: “We shared a lovely dessert and exchanged numbers, then she walked me to the train—there was a hug. I was feeling a little sick, so a kiss may have been selfish of me.”
Margo: “We had a nice walk after dinner, and the weather was surprisingly nice. It was really enjoyable, then we said goodbye. I hope to see her again sometime soon.”
Verdict
Miri: ♥♥♥♥♥ “Exceeded expectations, 10 out of 10. She was really sweet. We haven’t made concrete plans yet, but I think we’re definitely going to see each other again.”
Margo: ♥♥♥♥♥ “I was super surprised with how well it went, how comfortable it was and how it really seemed like a genuinely good match. I hope to see her again soon.”
