THE DATE
First impression
Matt: “She seemed very fun, and it put me at ease right away. In the first three minutes, we found out we had this unique connection: Her mom works at the school I went to.”
Krista: “He was dressed really nice and had a great energy. The conversation felt easy right away. Then, a couple of minutes in, we found out that he actually knows my mom.”
Chemistry
Matt: “I got more of a friend vibe, but it was positive. We had a lot in common, and there were no awkward pauses. She was super outgoing, friendly and really interesting.”
Krista: “It didn’t feel romantic, but we really enjoyed each other’s company. We talked about families, college and dating. We talked a lot about how amazing the restaurant was.”
Awkward Moment
Matt: “The waitress said they were out of prime rib, and I was like, ‘Are you really or just lying?’ The waitress didn’t think it was funny. Krista had to say, ‘Oh, we’re just kidding.’ ”
Krista: “I texted my mom after he said that he knew her and then, a little bit later, he looked at his phone and said, ‘Your mom just added me on LinkedIn.’ ”
Afterward
Matt: “We hugged and then parted ways. I totally forgot to ask for her number, but I thought we could just connect on LinkedIn since I was already connected with her mom.”
Krista: “The night ended with us hugging and saying we’d connect on LinkedIn. It was a good end vibe, though. We said we had a great time, and then we went our separate ways.”
Verdict
Matt: ♥♥♥♥ “It was a super-fun date, an all-around pleasant time. She was a great girl, really unique and fun. I’d love to hang out with her again.”
Krista: ♥♥♥ “I had a really phenomenal time. It was a successful date in that we enjoyed each other’s company, and I think I potentially made a new friend.”
