Local beard guru and F.S.C. Barber founder Sam Buffa opens his third NYC barbershop, under a new moniker, putting a greater emphasis on men’s apothecary products. (The West Village spot will also be taking the new name, while the Williamsburg location will continue under the F.S.C. Barber label.) Buffa custom-crafted the 800-square-foot space, which includes eight vintage Koken barber chairs, mahogany sconces and salvaged maple flooring. After your haircut ($40), straight-razor shave ($40) or beard shaping ($15), a grooming guide can walk you through the curated collection of available products ($5–$150) and tools ($6–$310), including Geo F. Trumper Sandalwood shaving cream ($20), Hart straightedge steel razors ($310), Malin + Goetz peppermint shampoo ($20) and cilantro conditioner ($22), and Odin cologne ($120–$165). While you’re there, feel free to lounge on the outdoor deck and garden, open to clients and friendly neighbors.
