After months spent peddling shark tacos and grilled monkfish sandwiches at a Riis Park stall in Rockaway this summer, Wildfeast chef-owner Mirijana Ujkic is extending the beachfront restaurant through the chilly off-season. (Don’t worry, the grotto pavilion has space heaters.) Grab a seat at a communal picnic table for summertime specials like local red-hake tacos, East Coast blowfish tails with mango butter and a whole-roasted Rockaway Reef blackfish, as well as heartier fall newcomers including Long Island clam chowder and North Fork lamb shank, and brunch options like omelettes snugging hunks of wild-caught lobster. Beyond the hyperlocal catch, the eatery is also hosting crab boils, a harvest festival and live music throughout the season, so summer never has to end.
