Located inside a fully functioning tortilla factory, this Bushwick hang serves tacos, tostadas and tortas filled with meats like salted beef, carnitas and chorizo. The digs are sparse but dressed for a good time, with a few tables, paper plates and string lights, all in view of the machinery that churns out the bread and butter of the operation, or in this case, tortillas. You can get to eating as early as 9am or as late as 11:30pm on the weekends.
The vibe: Even though you are eating steps away from the cold hard metal of the tortilla factory, the low-key hang keeps it a touch homey with murals of corn and flowers on the windows and a neon-lit dining room that turns the night even more memorable.
The food: Authentic Mexican eats where tacos, tortas and taquitos can be had well into the night. Tacos will run you $4 and the more "expensive items," like the tortas and the quesadillas cap out at $10.
The drink: Peer inside the fridge for Mexican cokes, jarritos and decently sized horchatas. You are more than welcome to BYOB.
Time Out tip: This should go without saying, but you can buy some tortillas on the way out for your next taco party.
