Gowanus has gained a new café and sandwich shop. All the baked goods are sourced from Brooklyn suppliers (such as chocolate brownies from the Chocolate Room), while the coffee comes from D’Amico Foods in Cobble Hill. Sandwiches, meanwhile, include a tuna salad using the previous tenant’s secret recipe (much loved by area residents), and a back room will double as an art and music space.
