Owners Cody Utzman (Brooklyn Label) and Kathleen McEldowney, the team behind Mexican street-food joint Papacitos, bring a bodega with a conscience to Greenpoint with a focus on local and sustainable organic goods. Pastry chef Crystal Mancha, of Birdbath Bakery, will make all the breads and pastries, and the shop will sell its own brand of vegetarian-friendly prepared goods, such as organic hummus and kimchi.
