Ted & Honey is just what a neighborhood café should be. It’s right next to family-magnet Cobble Hill Park, in the space formerly occupied by what area residents called the “red deli.” The menu incorporates as many locally sourced, seasonal and organic ingredients as possible; a bookshelf features the work of local authors. Edible options include a changing selection of salads and the “Red Neck,” a breakfast wrap with hominy grits, smoked ham, scrambled eggs and farmhouse cheddar. Almost everything is made on-site, right down to the ketchup and mayonnaise. Local flavor, indeed.
