The talents of the waiters and waitresses at this rollicking Japanese restaurant go far beyond speedy service and taking orders. They’re also talented singers and dancers who regularly put down the plates and pick up the mics to entertain guests with energetic song-and-dance numbers. Their newest show, “We Will Roxx You” on Friday and Saturday nights, features covers of classic Rock n’ Roll songs from the likes of Tina Turner, Journey and Aerosmith and servers dressing the part with spiked hair, lots of leather and tattoo sleeves. (Some hit notes so high, you’d swear they just snuck some wasabi in the kitchen.) If you’re looking for a different kind of throwback experience, the “Boogie Nights” on Thursdays feature songs from the disco era while Wednesdays are reserved for a compilation of hits dubbed: “I Love Roxx and Roll.” Between performances, video screens blast music video mixes that keep the party going until, inevitably, your server is once again called away from your table and into the bright lights of the stage.
