This midtown location boasts an extensive menu that is only outdone by (and barely) by its boys club mod decor. Each dish is carefully crafted by global chefs that prepare each steak with a flamboyant Strip House signature. Start off with the Steak Tartare ($21). This pocket-sized hand-cut filet mignon hits you with a punch of horseradish-egg yolk jam, pickled red pearl onion and cornichon.
After you're done with the tartare, take on the classic New York Strip 16 oz. ($53) and the Filet Mignon Strip 8 oz. ($50). The New York Strip is called a classic for obvious reasons. This well-prepared dish is chewy when asked for medium rare and filled with flavor. The Filet Mignon is the winner here with a tenderness that rivals a newborn. Each bite will take you to steak heaven and make you doubt the authenticity of veganism.
Side both steaks with the Strip House Potatoes ($13), Sautéed Wild Mushrooms ($14) and Mac & Cheese ($13). Each side mirrors the success of its master companion. Top off your night and unbutton your top button with the Strip House Signature 24-Layer Chocolate Cake ($18). This exaggerated piece of cake boasts 24-layers of chocolate goodness. The Strip House Steakhouse is probably not aligned with your low-carb diet, but it will make your tummy happy.
