Polished bups and yups love the live R&B, cozy lounge, and excellent soul and Caribbean food. The plush nine-year-old supper club will fill your ears and your plate: Sip a martini and nibble melt-in-your-mouth corn bread or Maryland blue-crab cakes. Move on to an entrée of blackened catfish, seafood gumbo or smothered pork chops, all of which come with two sides (try the fried sweet plantains or the macaroni and cheese). Peach cobbler and red velvet cake are the dessert-menu stars. Service is on the slow-jam side but because a 17 percent gratuity is included in your bill, you can’t dock your waiter. It probably won’t matter: You’ll be in a song-and-wine-induced stupor.
