Point Seven serves as an ode to the ocean blue. The name alone refers to the Earth's 70% composition of water. Inspirations from the sea come in all forms here, with a glass school of fish that swims over the dining room to elements of deep blue curtains and sandy white couches. But there is more than meets the eye, as the tables and even the countertops are fashioned out of plastic that was removed from our oceans.
Spread across the two stories found in the MetLife Building, chef Franklin Becker shares a seafaring menu, from a raw bar to lightly smoked salmon and pan-seared fluke. You can now find slabs of mackerel, Montauk red shrimp and big eye tuna behind the glass case as sushi and sashimi are now on the menu.
