If you find yourself looking for a place that serves sashimi and steak frites, we’ve got a match for you: Paris Match has a French menu and a sushi bar on the side. Sadly, though, this culinary crossroads is not exactly a Franco-Asian flight of fancy. Some bistro staples like steak frites and mussels were downright bland. The sushi was better, but only some of it. A scallop roll and blackened-tuna roll tasted superfresh, but the spicy tuna roll with smoked eel and cucumber—wrapped in avocado and salmon—seemed like something you’d find at Teriyaki Boy. Better to come for drinks and snacks, instead. Maine lobster salad is nested on a bed of asparagus and hearts of palm with truffle vinaigrette, and sirloin steak tartare was expertly seasoned with capers, onion and a hint of Worcestershire.
