Brantley Martin made a lot of friends in the last four years working as a club promoter for places like Lotus and Halo. Now, with the launch of Milieu in upper Chelsea, he can finally invite his VIP list to a place he actually owns (with partner Peter Rabasco). The bi-level restaurant-lounge is located near other nightlife hot spots (Quo, Ruby Falls, Marquee) but distinguishes itself by serving lunch—mainly to employees at Martha Stewart, Hugo Boss and Palm Pictures from the building next door—and dinner starting Labor Day. On the menu: black Angus beef or bluefin tuna burgers for lunch, and braised kobe beef shoulder or Alaskan king crab for dinner.
