Métrazur sounds like the name of the latest Amtrak high-speed train, and it does sit in a train station, under the beautiful constellations of the Great Hall of Grand Central Terminal. Location is its best quality. The menu isn’t particularly innovative—Caesar salad, shell steak, filet mignon, crème brûlée—but each dish is adequately cooked, well presented and served by a scrupulous waitstaff. Duck confit with bitter greens and toasted pistachios is a pleasing appetizer; veal medallions with morels and asparagus also shine. The decor is bland (lots of neutrals), but in this gorgeous location, you’ll hardly notice.
