Jeremy Holin, owner of Jeremy’s Ale House, has some friendly competition from this bar-restaurant—it’s owned by his son, Lee. Delicious food—ultrafresh bluepoint oysters, scrumptious tuna with flash-fried spinach—coupled with an eager-to-please attitude and a design-savvy bar make Meade’s a serious contender. The business-lunch crowd may not care, but the place still needs to work out a few kinks (old-school rock on the box, inexpert service) for the savvy evening trade.
