Giant portions, a Southwestern menu and a spare Rothko-meets-adobe-hut setting support this East Village eatery’s tag line: “West Texas eats for the art elite.” It’s not exactly elite…but we’re happy to have the place to ourselves. The food and drink specials early in the week ($4 margaritas and appetizers on Tuesdays) make grub like build-your-own fish tacos and stiff margs all the more enticing, and Marfa’s spectacular baby-back ribs may be some of the best in town: The sauce is a bit too sweet, but the meat is fall-of-the-bone tender. Get some all over your elite, artsy shirt.
