This spare Senegalese spot doesn’t look like much, but its Technicolor dishes—like the spicy, pick-it-up-and-gnaw-the-bone lamb mafé ($10), stewed in a rich, tomatoey peanut sauce—get all the more exciting when you mix in a dab of the accompanying superhot chili sauce. Dough-wrapped homemade codfish ($1.25) and dense beef patties ($2) will curb your grumbling stomach while you wait.
