Only a seriously confident restaurant owner would dare to name a place Luscious. But the expertly prepared comfort food lives up to the name. Platters of dense, ultra-cheesy mac and cheese, savory corn spoonbread and sautéed spinach studded with lightly browned whole cloves of garlic are tempting, but you’ll also want to scan the list of daily specials (like better-than-Mom’s meat loaf and gravy), sandwiches (like crisp toasted Cubans) and house salads. If you can cram anything else in at the end, try a caramelly slice of pineapple upside-down cake.
