This staple of Restaurant Row has been serving traditional and authentic French cuisine to the diners of Manhattan for four decades. Now, a new Chef de Cuisine, David Cámara, has brought a fresh perspective to the menu that manages to both liven up the offerings while also sticking to the hits like the craveworthy French Onion Soup Burger, which rolls the best of France and America into one.
In addition to the aforementioned burger (a must-order), Le Rivage's menu highlights include new additions like frog legs and gnocchi a la parisienne. The best way to experience it all is to order the prix fixe dinner for $70 (available 4pm-7:30pm), which includes three courses. And don't worry about timing, it's the type of old-school Theater District joint that asks what show you're seeing when you check in to make sure you make it to curtain on time.
There's a quaint and cozy atmosphere at Le Rivage, so you can happily relax and truly savor your meal—and wine. Given the French provenance, it's only natural that the spot has also laid on a satisfying selection of vino to accompany his dishes.
