Nestled on Fulton Street, where it crosses with Rockwell Place, Las Santas provides a mini Mexico in Downtown Brooklyn. The decor is fresh, filled with giant cacti, among other greenery, and earthy tones, which sit in contrast to the geometric shapes on the walls that double as soft lighting. It's essentially the perfect environment in which to relax for a long brunch (or nurse a hangover), especially if you bagsy one of the sizeable, plump banquettes.
The menu is full of Mexican street food staples, but served in pretty little dishes that offer a fancy touch. A quick scan will have you dipping into the goopiest quesadillas, oozing with cheese, or blue corn fish tacos with rice and beans. Dine a la carte or choose the all you can eat brunch for $25, so that you can go to town on sunny side up huevos rancheros or the chorizo burrito omelette. You can watch everything being prepared fresh, too, thanks to the open kitchen.
You could easily spend all afternoon or evening here, sipping on spicy margaritas or pink sangria, especially given that they're open until 11pm most nights and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
