Heavily made-up suburban girls and out-of-town conventioneers comprise the clientele at this overpriced modern-Mexican cantina tucked inside the Four Points Sheraton. The food is as bland as the patrons: A queso fundido appetizer, consisted of gluey melted Chihuahua and goat cheese, presented with limp flour tortillas and tepid salsa. A rack of lamb entrée, while tender enough, was spoiled by a too-sweet coating of pomegranate molasses. If you must visit Las Chicas Locas, go during happy hour when you can take advantage of the place’s sole redeeming characteristics: 2-for-1 brown-sugar mojitos and plates of warm cinnamon churros.
