A sleek hangout serving up contemporary Japanese fare, Kaikagetsu takes influence from the cuisine of the Hida region. Based on the Lower East Side, the fine dining spot has an intimate and modern interior and present food upon decorative plates.
You can expect a la carte, kaiseki courses (traditional Japanese multi-course dinners/ sample courses) and dishes than contain prized Hida Beef. There are also pairings available, where a curated mixture of menu food and drinks from the bar harmonize Japanese flavours.
The Hida beef menu contains plates such as Hida beef curry ($24), Hida beef skewers ($26) and a Hida beef nigiri sushi sampler ($35). If you’d prefer seafood, you can find it on the a la carte menu, including black cod saikyo miso ($25), snow crab croquette ($15) and black tempura moriawase ($25). There are also ‘Ka’ courses available (vegan) on a seperate menu.
