Joe Dobias (JoeDoe) turns out eight subs at this East Village takeout spot. Pick up the TONY-approved Conflicted Jew (chicken liver, bacon, onions and challah bread); an After School Special (fried bologna, mustard and chips on white bread); or the Almighty Brisket Sandwich (Padgett Farm natural beef, cheddar, caramelized onions and peppercorn mayo on a Tom Cat Bakery brioche roll). You can wash it down with a house-made celery soda, Manhattan Espresso or Coca-Cola Classic.
