Vancouver's cult street-food favorite arrives in the East Village, bringing its Far East–inspired hot dogs to New York. Owner Noriki Tamura, a Japanese native, works ingredients imported from his home country into offbeat creations, including the Terimayo (an all-beef hot dog with teriyaki sauce, Japanese mayo and seaweed); the Okonomi (pork sausage with bonito flakes, fried cabbage and Japanese mayo); and the Tonkatsu (a slender deep-fried pork cutlet with cabbage and Japanese mayo). The 11-item menu also includes two exclusive-to–New York dogs: kobe beef crowned with caviar and miso sauce, and a bratwurst covered with okra.
