Time Out says

The only indication of Ikigai’s existence is a small wooden sign framed on a brick wall in Fort Greene. But once you locate it, you'll be treated to a Japanese-inspired tasting experience. Each seating starts in the tranquil back garden before heading inside for the main event, held at the handsome curved counter. Beyond a 12 to 14-course menu crafted by an Eleven Madison Park alum, Ikigai is more than what's on the plate, as the not-for-profit restaurant donates its proceeds to Rescuing Leftover Cuisine.
