Restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow’s nouveau food court targets a harried lunch crowd with multiple stations, offering Asian food (RedFarm Stand), Italian (Fornetti), burgers (3Bs) and coffee (the Press). A frustrating computerized ordering system sets the scene for an uneven eating experience. The best options are calorie bombs like Pat LaFrieda–blend burgers and excellent diced-lamb pot stickers from dim sum master Joe Ng (Chinatown Brasserie). But Fornetti is a conceptual mess, featuring oversize pizza-bread ovals as pedestals for sandwiches, salads and pasta. If artisanal fast food is the wave of the future, it could use a more convincing ambassador.
