After two decades of business, the West Village’s Cowgirl welcomed a baby sister to the family, where owner Sherry Delamarter combines her native-Texan love of Western cooking with an expanded seafood menu. Cowgirl mainstays like “chicken-fried chicken” share menu space with Gulf foods such as po’ boys, while the breakfast selection features dishes only a Southerner could have dreamt up, such as Cap’n Crunch–crusted French toast. Parents: Chase it with the Ethyl Mermaid (rum, apricot brandy and fresh citrus juices).
