Escape Sixth Avenue’s superstore-shopping hell at this chipper Euro-style café. Brothers John and Nick Accardi, who retained the pretty blue-and-white tiles of the Portuguese bakery that formerly occupied the site, serve thick-crust pizza, panini, salads and (on weekends) addictive malted waffles. Sandwiches, on bread from Balthazar, are packed with high-quality ingredients like prosciutto from Parma, fresh mozzarella and tangy sun-dried tomatoes.
