When the Williamsburg and Fort Greene locations of the Mexican restaurant Bonita closed last August, managers Ysenia Santibañez and Sergio Garcia decided they weren’t ready to walk away. With the help of several of the original restaurants’ employees, they’re now serving much of the same menu at this comfortable neighborhood spot. In addition to Bonita staples like fish tacos and enchiladas, the owners encourage a bar scene with snacks like picaditas (tortillas with salsa verde, cilantro and cotija cheese), along with a large selection of margaritas (as soon as the liquor license arrives).
