Having cut his teeth at Boqueria and Casa Mono, Peruvian chef Franco Barrio opens his first solo venture, a Spanish tapas joint with brick walls and a large wooden bar. Look for a selection of classic Iberian meats and cheeses (salchichon sausage, smoky sheep's-milk idiazabal) and other classics such as cured white anchovies, cold pork loin on toast and tortilla espanola (potato omelette). Other bites veer into more creative territory, like the pumpkin croquettes served with peppered maple yogurt. To drink: a selection of Spanish wines, with many bottles for less than $40.
