Fuelled on everything Mex-seasoned, Calabrije’s Margaritas & Tacos is (as you might’ve guessed from the name) a creative cocktail bar and Mexican eatery. But don’t think tacos are the only thing on offer here – you’ll also find quesadillas, gorditas, and a bunch of sides and desserts on the menu. Think kekitos – that’s cupcakes, fyi – in chocolate or vanilla, with a choice of chocolate, vanilla or strawberry glaze.
But the unique point of this spot is their extensive create-your-own Margaritas. That’s right, the primary focus here is the classically Mexican cocktail. In fact, Calabrije’s has a massive 21 different flavors to choose from for their Margs, including lime, blood orange, lychee, raspberry and pomegranate – which can be mixed to make a personalised combination. You can get them frozen or on the rocks, spicy and classically sugar-rimmed. Plus, you can make the drink with mezcal if you prefer (an added $2).
