White tablecloths, mauve walls and abstract paintings amount to a clean but generic setting with no obvious Middle Eastern motif. This is quickly overlooked in the wake of warm, attentive service and perfect, homemade humus and baba ghannouj. Other appetizers include ful medames (slow-simmered fava beans with lemon and garlic) and citrusy roasted quail. Among the diverse entrées are a fresh, grilled fillet of sole and juicy chicken shish kebab, which is well seasoned and accompanied by a heaping portion of marinated vegetables. A full bar offers Almaza, a Lebanese brew, and on Friday and Saturday nights, a belly dancer shakes things up.
